If you drive to work, where do you park? My job has a lot directly at the front door, with plenty of space… until the building owners came in one say and put “Reserved” signs on more than half of them, leaving us just two officially reserved for the company and the rest of us to fend for ourselves with the first come, first served ones. If the front lot is full we have to park down the street, which is a good 3 to 5 minute walk away. Not much, when you need the exercise – but a pain in the neck when it’s raining, especially when you want to go home and have to make the mad dash for your car.
Here’s a tip if you get stuck in that situation : Lunch hour. You only need a few people to drive somewhere for lunch to give you the opportunity to go out to that back parking lot, get your car and bring it up to the now temporarily open space in front of the building.
